RCMP and Labrador-Grenfell Health have partnered for a local mental health care project in Mary’s Harbour.
What is believed to be the first “Wind Phone” has been installed in the Big Land.
The Wind Phone concept originated in Japan to help people dealing with grief and other mental health issues, and is an unconnected phone placed in nature that lets people talk about their feelings or speak to a dead loved one.
The phone has been erected on Labrador Grenfell property in Mary’s Harbour with more on the way in the region.
