In a move to bolster the growth and development in the Northeast Avalon region, the federal government is giving $82,000 to the Newfoundland-Labrador Federation of Co-operatives.
The cash infusion was made through a regional economic development program to help spark the growth of co-operative organizations.
The money will support a co-operative incubator pilot program, providing training, advisory services, and mentorship opportunities for new local co-operatives.
