Memorial University is ramping up preparations for the 2025 Canada Summer Games.
The event is now just two years out and some of the preparations are already evident—such as construction on the new track and field complex, and the upgrading of the Aquarena soon to begin.
MUN Canada Games lead Jordan Wright says the university is starting to organize for the games, noting that they now have an internal steering committee in place.
He says they plan on having engagement sessions in the fall for students, faculty, and staff to learn about how they can get involved with the games. As well, they will be doing “academic legacy work” that will include funding for various projects at the university.
