A woman on the Northern Peninsula got a fright this morning when a black bear—apparently with no fear—appeared on her doorstep.
Pam Carrigan’s house is located in the community of Three Mile Rock on the edge of Parsons Pond. She wanted to warn other people in the area given this is summer and kids tend to be outside.
She was in the kitchen when she turned around and saw the bear on the back step. It looked like the animal was trying to get into the house.
The bear ran off into the woods shortly after she spotted it.
