The mother of a young boy who has frequent treatments at the Janeway says their new Smilezone area will be a huge source of motivation.
Adina Stamp’s son Lyndon has been receiving treatment at the Janeway for years. He was born 15 weeks premature and has cerebral palsy.
Stamp says her son thrives on bright colours and pictures that he understands.
She says Lyndon can see himself in the murals that adorn the walls, and that is a huge inspiration for him.
Stamp says the pictures brought a tear to her eye when she first saw them, noting that there’s someone in a wheelchair, and using a walker, and she can see Lyndon up there which is special.)
