A St. John’s-based author is getting her own film adaptation.
Originally set in Toronto, Nicole Haldoupis’ novella “Tiny Ruins”, follows two sisters as they navigate growing up in a coming-of-age and coming out tale made-up of flash fiction and link pieces.
The film rights for the novella have been given to Rogue Rock Productions, who are in the process of adapting it to a feature length film set in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Haldoupis says it is surreal that her book will hit the silver screen.
She says it still does not feel real, but she’s excited to see how it all comes together.
Tiny Ruins is available online or at most local bookstores.
