The date has been set to hear the appeal by a former high school teacher and coach convicted of sexual assault.
Forty-year-old Noel Strapp was found guilty last year of offences against a 16-year-old girl when she was a student and he was teaching at Roncalli High in Avondale.
The court heard that Strapp and the girl had sex dozens of times either at the school, at his home, and in his car between 2014 and 2016.
He was sentenced to four years in prison last year but appealed, claiming the judge wrongly accepted the victim’s version of events over his, citing inconsistencies in her testimony.
Strapp was released on bail this time last year while waiting for his appeal to be heard and judged.
That will now happen on September 11.
He remains under conditions to have no contact with the victim, her family, other former students, as well as anyone under 18, except his own four children.
