Police have arrested two people on drug charges following a traffic stop on the west coast this past weekend.
The RCMP-RNC Joint Forces Operation West seized a quantity of cocaine, cash, brass knuckles and other evidence of drug trafficking at the time of the arrest.
Twenty-two-year-old Bridgette Crocker of Corner Brook was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking in cocaine and possession of a prohibited weapon.
Thirty-year-old Andrew Elford is facing charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking in cocaine and failing to comply with a probation order.
They have since been released from custody and are due back in Corner Brook provincial court on October 24.
Elford, meanwhile, faces additional charges of assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest.
He’s due back in court on those charges on October 10.
