The Community Sector Council unveiled its new look and direction at an event in the International Lounge at Gander Airport yesterday.
The CEO of the council, Colin Corcoran, says their new logo incorporates a flight theme as part of their overall vision heading into the future.
Corcoran says it’s difficult to imagine what the province would look like without a vibrant volunteer and community sector.
He cites the 5,000 firefighters in the province, the vast majority of whom are volunteer. He says the community sector ranges from food banks, mental health supports to community groups, sports and recreation, and arts and theatre groups—and touches just about every aspect of life in the province.
