Another emergency room closure begins tomorrow due to staffing issues, this time in St. Lawrence.

NL Health Services says the emergency department at the U.S. Memorial Health Centre will be closed for a full week—from 8 a.m. Monday August 21, until 8 a.m. the following Monday, August 28.

Anyone with a medical emergency and who needs an ambulance during that time should call 911, or go to the nearest open emergency room. The 811 Health Line is also available 24/7.

Primary health care clinic appointments at the St. Lawrence clinic will go ahead both virtually and in-person.
