The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary responded to multiple assaults in St. John’s Saturday afternoon.
Shortly after 3:00 p.m. police received a call about an assault at a residence in Shea Heights. There were two people inside the home, one with visible injuries.
A 29-year-old man was arrested and taken to the lockup. The victims injuries were not life threatening.
About a half hour later, RNC responded to a home in the centre city area.
A 49-year-old man was arrested for assaulting another resident. He was also taken to the lockup and held for court in the morning.
