An all-star cast of Newfoundland and Labrador’s music elite have come together to honour a legend.

Sonic Records is set to release Sonny Don’t Go Away: A Tribute to Ron Hynes this fall, a 20 song collection featuring covers from the iconic career of The Man of a Thousand Songs.

Produced by Alan Doyle and Cory Tetford, the album features guest appearances from an award-winning cast including Amelia Curran, The Once, Quote The Raven, Kellie Loder, Rum Ragged, Fortunate Ones and Joel Thomas Hynes, among others.

The first single from the record, a soulful cover of “Leaving on the Evening Tide” by Juno nominated singer-songwriter Tim Baker, was released on Friday.

The album will be released on physical and digital platforms on October 20th.
