Franklin has become the second Hurricane of the 2023 season, however it is looking as though the storm’s impacts on Newfoundland and Labrador will be minimal.
The latest track of the storm from the Canadian Hurricane Centre sees it curve sharply to the northeast as it comes up the Atlantic Ocean.
While the centre of the storm is expected to come closer to this province than it will the Maritimes, the centre says confidence is building that it will stay to the southeast.
VOCM News will have more information on the storm, and any potential impacts, in the coming days as its track becomes clearer.
