The Mayor of St. John’s believes a more regional approach is needed to deal with housing issues across the province.
Danny Breen met with Federal Housing Minister Sean Fraser earlier this week.
One facet of that conversation, he explains, is making housing programs more accessible for towns that may not have the same capacity as larger centres.
He says many small towns don’t have the ability to organize the rigorous conditions associated with such programs. He believes they should be allowed to partner with larger towns and cities to make it happen.
