The leader of the federal conservative party is raising the alarm over housing costs in the country.
Pierre Poilievre says housing costs have doubled under the Liberal Government, with both rent and mortgage rates skyrocketing. He says according to UBS bank, Toronto is the most inflated housing bubble on earth and Vancouver is the third most unaffordable market in the world.
He says spending on the deficit and the blocking of home building is to blame, which is why his party is pushing for a cap on spending. Poilievre outlines further cuts a Conservative government would make to offset this.
He says the $35 billion infrastructure bank, the ArriveCan app, and the majority of spending on expensive consultant are all on the chopping block.
