A 47-year-old man is facing impaired charges after blowing three-and-a-half times the legal limit.

Around 9:00 p.m. last night, police pulled a suspected drunk driver over on Commonwealth Avenue in Mount Pearl.

The man was arrested and brought to the police station, where he provided breath samples far exceeding the legal limit.

He was charged and had his vehicle impounded.
