Heading into the Labour Day weekend, Jerry Earle is offering his thanks to the many workers who keep the services we need and expect going, but he admits, it’s been difficult.

Earle says problems keeping existing workers and the difficulties faced in recruitment to fill the many vacancies in the public sector have made the last few years especially tough.
