City offices and facilities are closed in St. John’s today for the Labour Day holiday.
Garbage and recycling collection has been moved to tomorrow, Robin Hood Bay is closed as is the visitor information centre, and while city parking by-laws are still in effect paid parking will not be enforced.
The splashpads at Bowring Park, Bannerman Park, and Kenmount Terrace Community Centre are open, with today being the last day for them. The public bathrooms at those facilities are also open.
As well, street cleaning operations scheduled for today will be going ahead at 10:00 p.m.
Vehicles not removed from the areas being cleaned will be ticketed.
