The provincial government is looking for not-for-profit organizations to be part of the second phase of its pre-kindergarten pilot program.
The first phase of the program was launched last year through the YMCA.
Now, government has issued an RFP for the second phase of locations for the program.
It runs full time, year-round, and is regulated through the operating grant program.
The end goal is to create over 3,000 child care spaces in the province by spring 2026.
The RFP closes on October 11, and will be evaluated on a number of factors including experience and an organization’s ability to run multiple locations.
