RCMP have arrested two people after stopping a vehicle in Grand Falls-Windsor, then seizing drugs and recovering stolen items.

Police pulled over a vehicle on High Street in the town around 2:00 Thursday morning. Officers observed drugs inside and arrested both occupants.

A quantity of suspected cocaine, drug paraphernalia, and items believed to be stolen were seized.

The items were linked to a break-and-enter at an automotive business in the town. Surveillance footage confirmed that the break-in had occurred shortly after midnight.

As a result, 37-year-old Adam Waterman and 38-year-old Chiara Sweeney were each charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of stolen property, and break and enter.
