Today is NL Open Farm Day, and as such farmers across the province are opening their doors to highlight the importance of the agriculture industry.
Wayne Simmons, President of the Federation of Agriculture, says the day is an opportunity for farmers to share their passion, show how and where local food is produced, and prove how essential the industry is.
According to the federation, over 4,000 people have visited local farms for past years’ events.
Some events have been postponed until Sunday, September 24th due to weather.
