The remnants of Hurricane Lee are expected to make their way across the province today.
Lee, which was once a powerful category five Hurricane, tracked across the Maritimes yesterday as a post-tropical storm.
Lee made landfall in Atlantic Canada yesterday, uprooting trees and causing thousands to go without power.
The storm’s main impact on this province will be rain.
Environment Canada meteorologist Mike Vandenberg says the south coast of the island could see between 30 and 40 mm of rain, while the south coast of Labrador could push 50 mm.
Ultimately, Vandenberg says there won’t be any significant impacts on this province.
He says that Newfoundland and Labrador didn’t draw the short end of the stick this time.
