The provincial government is cracking down on smoking and vaping on their premises.
As of next Wednesday, September 27, smoking and vaping will be prohibited on all government property, including parking lots and in vehicles.
The new rules apply to all employees, visitors, and contractors.
The province says quitting smoking is one of the best things people can do for their health, but that can be difficult to do. They point to the Newfoundland and Labrador Smokers Help Line as a resource to help people who want to quit.
