A woman has been charged with two separate offences sparked by her refusal to pay a taxi fare in St. John’s.
The RNC were called out to a residence on Empire Avenue just before 9:00 last night after the woman decided on her own that the cab ride was free. Their investigation also revealed that the same person was involved in a recent theft from a business.
She faces charges of fraudulently obtaining transportation, theft and breach of probation. She was held in custody overnight.
