The RNC has set up a tip line to gather information from the public on an increase in cases of vandalism on the northeast Avalon.

Downtown businesses are aggravated with the senseless spray painting of private property. Businesses have to incur the cost of clean up, only to have the same thing happen again, and again.

One of the most recent and more frustrating incidents involved someone simply walking the downtown and spraying a continuous line of paint on storefronts and fences.

Since March several arrests have been made. RNC say in each case the accused was carrying a variety of spray paint cans and other equipment.

A tip line has been established to help report graffiti, and RNC are actively trying to identify a number of tag names used throughout the region.

The include CROE, CROKE, ACE of the REPUBLIC, and ASEC.
