The former mayor of CBS, and his sister have received the medals to which their late father was entitled.
As VOCM reported earlier this week, Woodrow French learned that his father, Harold who never spoke of his experiences in WWII, was entitled to a number of service medals.
Through French’s hard work and determination, those medals were finally presented in a formal ceremony at Government House today.
French and his sister Ruby French were presented with the original medals and a miniature copy set, by Lieutenant Governor Judy Foote this afternoon.
