Government has appointed two new Provincial Court Judges.
Karen Rehner will be taking the big seat in Grand Bank, while Jennifer Standen is appointed to the court in Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
Rehner previously served as Crown Council in St. John’s and Toronto, and spent over 10 years as a staff solicitor with the St. John’s Area Office and Special Defence of the Legal Aid NL.
Standen, originally from Benoit’s Cove, has served as Senior Crown Attorney with the Department of Justice since 2018, and previously worked six years as Crown Attorney and Senior Crown Attorney in Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
The appointments are effective immediately.
