Officials in this province are watching the growing tensions between Canada and India very closely.

Meanwhile, Memorial University’s Provost has issued assurances to all students, faculty and staff from India that the administration is there for them.
Dr. Jennifer Lokash says Memorial understands that current diplomatic tensions between Canada and India may be causing great unease and concern.
She says the university is offering a number of online and phone-based community mental health and wellness supports for students on all campuses, which can be access through the Student Wellness and Counselling Centre website.
The Employee Assistance Program is also available to faculty and staff, 24 hours a day.
