A ceremony is taking place this morning in St. John’s to remember police and peace officers who lost their lives in the line of duty.
The names of twenty officers are etched on a provincial memorial located on Confederation Hill in St. John’s.
A parade will lead officers and dignitaries to the site this morning for a ceremony scheduled for 11:00 a.m.
Among those in attendance are President of the NLPPOMA, Constable Georgina Short, Minister Bernard Davis and Lieutenant Governor Judy Foote.
