Police on the Southern Shore are investigating a fire that extensively damaged an apartment complex in Calvert over the weekend.

The fire broke out shortly before 4 p.m. on Saturday. Police, fire and EMS attended the scene.

Residents of the apartment complex were evacuated as firefighters worked to put out the blaze.

One person was left with minor injuries.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
