The Great Northern Concrete Toboggan Race (GNCTR), is the oldest and largest engineering student design competition in Canada.
Newfoundland and Labrador, for the very first time, will play host to the event for its 50th anniversary this February.
Regan Hogan, Co-Chair of the GNCTR 2024 Organizing Committee, spoke with enthusiasm on hosting the high octane event that brings students and industry professionals from across Canada to the island.
Hogan shared that organizers are proud to play host to the event for its 50th anniversary, the first time the event will head to Atlantic Canada.
Featuring workshops and events in St. John’s and the much hyped races at White Hills in Clarenville, on February 10, the non-profit group of MUN Engineering Alumni that make up the organizing committee is asking for support from the local business community to help execute the competition.
