Police got into a scuffle with a wanted man who tried to run from them in the Patrick Street of St. John’s area just after midnight.
RNC officers eventually caught up with the 41-year-old man, and pepper sprayed him after he began fighting with police.
He was taken into custody and now faces additional charges to the warrant including resisting arrest, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, carrying a concealed weapon, careless use of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and possession of prohibited firearm with ammo.
