The Education Minister says the department has already started to field questions about where they go from here now that they’ve decided to permanently eliminate public exams from the school system.

Krista Lynn Howell says government is launching a consultation process to discuss a number of options identified to ensure that students are being assessed fairly and are ready for post-secondary.

She says that the hope is to capture proper evaluation of students, albeit in a different capacity.
