Health Minister Tom Osborne says he plans on bringing up the topic of poaching health care professionals when he meets with his other provincial counterparts in the next few weeks.

The provincial government is sending a recruitment group to Saskatchewan next week in retaliation to that province conducting on-the-ground recruitment here.

Osborne asked Saskatchewan not to come here several weeks ago, but hasn’t heard back.

He plans to broach the topic when the health ministers meet in mid-October.

Osborne says he will let the ministers know that government has no intention of going to other provinces to recruit, but “if you come here, we will have to go there.” He says they want the other province’s to respect that.
