Eastern Composite Services says it is honoured to have received the Environmental Sustainability Award from Energy NL for its efforts in helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
The award was handed out during Energy NL’s Industry Achievement Awards in St. John’s on Thursday.
Eastern Composite Services was acknowledged for its platinum group metals recovery and recycling process, something the company says is proven to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 99.97 per cent compared to mined and refined PGMs.
President and CEO Andrew Colford says the honour directly reflects their active commitment to pioneering what they call sustainable solutions for the energy industry.
It was one of a number awards handed out.
