The Ministers of Labrador Affairs and Transportation are taking a look at how goods flow in and out of the north.

Ministers Lisa Dempster and John Abbott are touring the north coast of Labrador to get a first-hand look at the system in which goods are transported to the more isolated communities on the Big Land.

Dempster says they have spoken with Nunavut’s transportation minister about challenges both jurisdictions face with transportation to isolated communities, and now she’s getting a first hand view.

She says they want to see how the goods and people are delivered via which vessels and calls it a “very beneficial” trip.
