The VOCM Cares Foundation is making a plea for winter items as part of its annual Coats for Kids Campaign.
Development Coordinator Jenelle Lambert has put out a call for gently used or new coats, hats, mittens, scarves and boots for both kids and adults.
Lambert shares that cold weather can be hard on anyone, and many cannot afford proper winter clothing suitable for the harsh conditions.
While the campaign includes a strong group of partners and volunteers, Lambert calls on local businesses and companies to get involved.
She encourage companies to have their staff get creative in collecting their donations in an effort to help those in need.
There are various drop-off location across the province, each partnered with a local charity in the area, with a pop-up shop to be held in St. John’s at the end of the month at the Village Shopping Centre.
A complete list of drop-off locations can be found here.
