That means provincial, federal and many municipal government offices are closed for the day today.
In St. John’s most city offices and facilities are closed, however recreation facilities and community centres are open.
Garbage and recycling collection is going ahead today, and the Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility is open for regular operations.
