First Light and the St. John’s Status of Women Council have a Sisters in Spirit Vigil planned for tomorrow evening in St. John’s.

The vigil is being held to remember and honour missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls and gender-diverse people.

Cultural Support Worker with First Light Brooke Temple says the two organizations have a number of overlapping and shared values and they’re coming together to bring greater attention to the issue.

Registered participants will gather at 6:00 p.m. tomorrow at the First Light Centre for Performance and Creativity in the old Cochrane Street United Church.
