Public consultations are set to start November 1 to hear input on the first of ten new protected wilderness areas proposed for the province.
The Indian Arm Brook area is one identified long before the province’s Home For Nature Protected Areas Plan was put together.
Wilderness and Ecological Reserves Advisory Council Co-chair Graham Wood says Indian Arm Brook takes in the Campbellton River water system in central Newfoundland.
It runs from just south of Campbellton, taking in Campbellton River to Indian Arm Pond, and in towards Mount Peyton taking in Indian Arm Brook and Neil’s Brook.
A virtual consultation session is scheduled for October 18 with a public Open House at the Brittany Inn in Lewisporte on November 1.
