The Law Society of NL has issued a notice of disbarment against Edmund Montague, for the misappropriation of client funds and the unauthorized practice of law.
The Law Society disbarred Montague as the result of an order issued by an Adjudication Tribunal of the Law Society’s Disciplinary Panel on August 28.
Montague, who was previously disbarred, will continue to be struck from the Roll of Barristers and all of his rights and privileges as a member of the Law Society have come to an end.
Montague had a law practice in Labrador City, and also worked with the Legal Aid Office in Wabush.
