A tragic end to the search for a missing elderly woman from Conception Bay South.

According to the RNC, the Chief Medical Examiner has identified remains found in the area of Minerals Road and the old Talc Mine in CBS as 79-year-old Anna Gaulton.

Gaulton was last seen in the area of Kelligrews on August 8, resulting in an extensive search effort.

The investigation is ongoing and the RNC and Chief Medical Examiner are working to determine the cause of death.
