The annual moose reduction program in Terra Nova National Park begins this week.

The park’s moose management area is made up of two zones, to allow hunters and visitors to use the park. Zone 1 is open to hunters from Tuesday, October 10th to Sunday, January 28th, while Zone 2 will remain closed to hunting for the entire season.

All visitors to Zone 1 are asked to pay close attention to posted signs and understand where hunting is allowed.

Hunters are required to wear blaze orange while hunting, while visitors are also encouraged to wear blaze for maximum visibility.
