A father and daughter from Bonavista Bay were given a dream hunting trip on the west coast.
Georgia Kean was the winner of the Newfoundland and Labrador Youth Outdoor Dream Adventure, a provincial government draw from all 16 and 17-year-old participants in provincial Firearms Safety/Hunter Education Courses.
Georgia and her father Greg were taken to the Serpentine Lake area at no cost to them for a special hunting experience. While on the trip, Georgia brought down her first moose with a clean shot from 222 yards away.
She says it was special to share her first hunt with her father.
She says it was a proud moment for him to see her take down her first big game animal.
