Environment Canada is warning of the potential of coastal flooding in Northeastern Newfoundland.
A special weather statement has been issued for northeastern portions of the Avalon, and from Cape Race to Cape St. John.
They warn that during high tide Monday night and Tuesday morning, large waves and elevated sea water levels may cause storm surge and coastal flooding on coastlines exposed to the north.
High tide is between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Tuesday morning. Water levels are expected to subside Tuesday afternoon.
