The Newfoundland Growlers have announced a partnership with VOCM in support of Daffodil Place.
The partnership aims to raise funds and awareness for cancer support services, and will be highlighted on October 29 during the “VOCM presents Growlers Fight Cancer” game.
Jonathan Loder, Vice President of Revenue and Growth for the Growlers, spoke with VOCM about the special event, which will emphasize the crucial role of support services like Daffodil Place.
Loder says that partnerships between organizations like the Growlers and VOCM are important in helping to raise awareness for worthy causes in the province.
He says that entertaining fans with their product on the ice is one thing, but community involvement and urging fans to give back to worthy causes is truly worthwhile.
Attendees to the game on October 29 will have the opportunity to purchase tickets using a special code. A portion of the proceeds from these ticket sales will go directly to Daffodil Place and the “One Night Stand Against Cancer” campaign.
Ticket can be purchased on the Mary Browns’ Centre website.
