Israel has agreed to allow humanitarian aid to begin flowing into Gaza from Egypt, provided that inspections are carried out, and that it not go to Hamas, but to ordinary citizens.
US President Joe Biden delivered that update today during his visit to Tel Aviv.
He urged people not to be consumed by rage in response to the October 7 attacks on Israel, which he likened to the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the United States.
Israel confirmed that much-needed food, water and medicine would begin to flow into Gaza after blocking off aid to the region after the Hamas attack. It is not yet known when that humanitarian assistance will start moving.
