A 19-year-old man is dead as the result of a head-on collision on the TCH on Sunday about 10 km west of Hampden Junction.
The young man was the driver and the only occupant of one of the two vehicles involved. The driver and passenger of the second vehicle suffered injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
Road conditions at the time were poor, with heavy rain and high winds.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
