Memorial University’s Students’ Union wants assurances from MUN that corporate head-hunters won’t be used in the search for a new university president.
MUNSU’s Director of External Affairs says the AG’s report on operations at MUN confirms what they’ve been saying for years.
Memorial says it has accepted all of the eight recommendations made in Denise Hanrahan’s report including existing resources from within the university’s HR Department will be used to support executive searches.
John Harris of MUNSU says he wants confirmation that corporate head-hunters won’t be used.
He says while the internal searches led by Neil Bose are going well “we haven’t had a commitment for a presidential search that is open and not from the corporate head hunting contracts that are left over.”
