A man accused of failing to properly care for his beagle dogs who was acquitted by the courts will be going back to court.
Four emaciated dogs were seized from Robert Picco’s property by Beagle Paws but he was acquitted in court, a decision which was upheld on appeal. However, an appeal to the Supreme Court overturned the ruling and ordered a new trial in Provincial Court.
The four dogs were kept outside in a pen in Portugal Cove-St.Philips but were not provided adequate food and water.
